Water and Woodland Garden

This design suits the larger garden, the combination of woodland and water providing a peaceful, secluded and natural landscape. The small, natural stream on the hillside and the long pond contain a variety of marginal and aquatic plants, including the spring flowering Kingcup and various irises which flower in spring and early summer.
Note the collection of water lilies which peak in the summer months.
Autumn colour is provided in the woodland along with shrubs to provide colour in winter. In keeping with modern thinking on landscape design, the woodland also features indigenous species which are of benefit to wildlife.
