Water and Rock Garden
_____________________
This garden was completed in spring of 2002 and officially opened that summer by then Tanaiste Mary Harney.

The garden has a number of features displayed with Oriental influences. It's planted to give colour and interest in all seasons with use of dwarf conifers, bamboo, Japanese maples, ornamental grasses and heathers. Shady areas have been planted with Australian tree ferns, ground ferns, Fatsia japonica, and hostas. Two circular patios using Indian sandstone are used to view the garden from different angles. A naturalistic pond with waterfall to provide noise and movement to the garden and to encourage wildlife like frogs, birds and dragonflies. The use of precast concrete boulders as giant stepping stones, a method unique to Rock and Waterscapes, is very innovative and gives this garden a feeling of sensationalism.
